Frequently Asked Questions

Do you powerwash decks and houses?

No. Powerwashing [ the use of high pressure water] is one of the top reasons for premature paint failure. It puts water into the crevices of wood causing blistering and peeling, as well as pushing mildew into the profile of the wood, causing it to return quickly and in abundance. Instead, we use a germicide cleaner application which efficiently removes surface mildew and dirt. We then gently rinse with water.

What kind of paint do you use?

We source our paints and stains from Benjamin Moore, Sherwin-Williams, Pratt & Lambert Paints, Farrow and Ball, Donald Kaufman, Myland’s, Fine Paints of Europe, and Cabot’s. Quality paint makes for a quality paint job.

Are you able to help me with my color selections?

Yes. We have partnered and trained with some of the top interior designers in the country over the past 40 years. We are a walking color palette. We can assist you in the proper choice of colors, finishes, and combinations to bring out the best characteristics of your home and personality,

What SEPARATES a good paint job from a bad paint job?

Prep work. Prep work is the single most important step in the painting process. We scrape, sand, caulk, and plaster prior to paint application. For interiors we use 500 watt halogen painter lights to discover any imperfections such as popping nails, and cracks that need to be fixed.
